Pinochle

Trick-taking with melds and a double deck. Win tricks and score combos.

Rules / Config

  1. Played with a 48-card double deck (9 through Ace, two of each suit). Players bid for the right to declare trump, then reveal melds for bonus points.
  2. Common melds include marriages (King + Queen of same suit), pinochle (Jack of Diamonds + Queen of Spades), and runs (A-10-K-Q-J of trump).
  3. After melding, players play tricks. Aces and 10s taken in tricks count as points. The bidding team must meet their bid or lose those points.
